HISTORY
ACT Steelworks is a family business founded by Alan Berry. Today, the company is owned and managed by Michael and Danny Berry.

Our people drive the delivery of our services.
We execute projects from design through to manufacture and installation. Engaging over 50 employees, the ACT Steelworks workforce comprises full-time drafting professionals, qualified fabricators and welders, crane drivers, riggers, truck drivers, fencing installers and metal fabrication apprentices.

PRACTICES
Steel is the world’s most
recyclable material.
Due to its structural efficiencies, durability and recyclable capabilities, steel is a viable sustainable material essential to our society. We purchase our steel from Australian Responsible Steelmakers such as Infrabuild or Southern Steel.
We separate aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel and recyclable office materials from our waste to minimise our impact on landfill. We reduce our carbon emissions by using renewable energy sources such as solar to power our office and supplement the workshop.
ACT Steelworks are the only fabricator in the ACT region to be certified to Steel Sustainability Australia (SSA) Certification Program certifying our business against best practice environmental, social and governance (ESG) indicators aligned to the principles under the Green Building Council of Australia’s (GBCA) Responsible Product Framework.
