EQUIPMENT
Having all the necessary equipment in-house limits risk and prevents over-reliance on subcontractors. We will only take on your project if we have the availability and capacity to deliver it ourselves. With us in control, you can trust your costs and deadlines will not be impacted.
Facilities
Based in Queanbeyan NSW, our modern workshop offers convenient access to the ACT and surrounding areas. The industrial scale of the site facilitates coordinated and centralised operations. Complete with modern offices for administration and security, the location maximises ACT Steelworks’ capabilities whilst optimising on-site storage for materials & products.
Safety
Our people are the most important part of our company. At ACT Steelworks, we value occupational health and safety and continually prioritise employee wellbeing. Due to the nature of our work, risk reduction and hazard prevention are non-negotiable. Our staff members receive the appropriate education, training and PPE to perform their jobs safely, supported by our dedicated Safety & Culture Manager Chey Lawler who holds a Cert IV in Work Health and Safety and was awarded the Leadership in Safety Award at the 2023 NAWIC ACT Crystal Vision Awards.

MANAGEMENT
Delivering your project on time and within budget is as important to us as it is to you. Our agile project management team is committed to providing the support and care you require. A single point of contact will be assigned to you for the duration of your project to ensure you receive consistent, attentive service.
Design and Scope
We plan our projects down to the last detail because we care about achieving great results. Our in-house design team creates 3D models of each project that apply engineering specifications to our clients’ visions. Ongoing consultation between clients and engineers ensures each project satisfies client expectations.
Production and Manufacturing
All manufacturing occurs within our modern workshop on precision workbenches. In-house capabilities include material preparation, welding, fabrication and painting. Our tradespeople hold qualifications of the highest level. This allows them to work on all structural steel fabrication and welding in the industry whilst implementing our wide range of certified welding procedure specifications. Our full-time workshop manager leads manufacturing quality control and traceability procedures, implemented in accordance with AS 5131:2016.
Installation
Installations are executed by our specialised crew of crane drivers, riggers, doggers and tradespeople. Managing installations assures clients that all aspects of the project will meet our stringent quality requirements. We can also ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Our collective trade and management experience allows us to streamline our installation processes, utilising plant and machinery wherever possible.
