BRIEF

We were engaged to design, fabricate and install a crash-rated gantry sign with an integrated steel plate gate.

The structure needed to provide controlled, crash-rated access for emergency services and pit crews, while also acting as the official start/finish line and supporting the track’s race timing systems. Given its location directly over live racing, the gantry required careful consideration of structural loading, vehicle speeds and long-term durability in a high-impact environment.

Our team delivered the project from concept design through to engineering, fabrication and final installation. Detailed 3D modelling and total station measurements were undertaken to ensure precision and seamless integration with the existing track infrastructure. Installation within the tight confines of the racetrack environment presented logistical and technical challenges. Complex rigging techniques were employed to safely position the gantry and gate system. Due to the scale and positioning of the structure, installation cranage was carried out in collaboration with our industry partners at Concept Cranes.

To ensure visual alignment with the broader redevelopment, our coatings provider colour-matched the gantry to the One Raceway branding, reinforcing its presence as a recognisable  feature of the circuit.

With One Raceway reopening in October 2024 and hosting major events such as the Australian Superbike Championship, the gantry and gate system has been a noticeable element of motorsport in the NSW region.
