As the largest landscaping reserve project in the history of the ACT, the aim of this restoration project was to create an educational recreational hub for the local community.

This was a design and construct contract where we engaged an independent engineer to review and certify the structural adequacy of the items provided.
Working closely with a local consulting firm, we developed the client’s concept design into a workable detail, allowing our drafting team to complete the CAD files ready for
fabrication. Members were fabricated and abrasive blasted to remove any painted finish before being installed onsite.
The FRP decking was CNC watercut from CAD files provided by the drafting team to allow an efficient and accurate installation.
Home to the endangered Pink-tailed Worm-lizard (PTWL), the biggest challenge the team faced when working in the area was minimising our footprint while establishing one of
the largest habitat areas for this species. We developed an innovative method of installing posts involving a machine tracking alongside the habitat from a safe distance to drive
the posts into the ground without any invasive excavations.
Namarag Nature Reserve has been a great opportunity for us to showcase many different steel elements and techniques from early concepts to fabrication and installation with our
in-house team. Using modern construction techniques, we delivered products that blend into the nature reserve and will stand for many decades to come
